Who are we? We are part of MERIT, the only group of mental health trusts working together, leading the way in looking at how we can jointly develop our services and improve the way mental health services are provided, for the future. Our Mental Health Trusts are Coventry and Warwickshire, Dudley and Walsall, Black Country and Birmingham and Solihull.
What do we want to do? We want to focus on proactive early intervention and care. There are three priority areas we want to look at, by working together and sharing ideas we believe we can make big improvements quickly. These are: Promoting a recovery culture, Crisis care and the reduction of risk, and Everyday working in acute services.
What’s the role?
Our four Trusts have exciting opportunities located across the West Midlands.
We are looking for Mental Health nurses, bank nurses who want to work in acute treatment with psychiatric physical complexities, rehabilitation and specialist services, including PICU and eating disorders.
All four Trusts offer entry level apprenticeships where no experience is required and successful candidates can earn a wage, gain a qualification and receive valuable work experience.
Between the Merit Trust’s they offer apprenticeships in business administration, healthcare, customer services, finance and pharmacy. The Trusts want to recruit people who are eager to learn, reliable and ready to commit to starting their career through an apprenticeship route.
